We are so excited to see these six month updates from the three organisations that pitched at The Funding Network Australia and AIDN’s “Women & Girls: Asia Pacific Crowdfunding Event” last year. 🌍
In October 2025, AIDN was delighted to join forces with The Funding Network Australia, Intrepid Travel Foundation, Cotton On Foundation, Myriad Australia, Grace & Emilio Foundation, and the Clare Murphy Fund for a vibrant night of storytelling and grassroots giving, providing a platform for three incredible organisation to pitch their solutions, take audience questions, and receive real-time pledges to fuel their growth.
Sewing The Seeds:
👉 Led by Sakshi Thakur OAM, Sewing the Seeds empowers women to break the poverty cycle and leave no women behind through textile education and employment for women from low socio-economic communities in India.
👉 What they pitched for: Building on the success of their Pondicherry centre, to expand their reach and partner with a village community in Jaipur, India, to further provide women with textile education and pathways to ongoing employment.
👉 Where they’re up to: Sakshi has just returned from Khatu Shyam, where she worked alongside local leaders to establish a new sewing centre and education program. In her update, she takes us on a tour of the new centre and behind the scenes of the program.

EveryMum:
👉 Led by Kate Taylor, EveryMum is expanding their ultrasound project in Cambodia, going into more remote health centres, training the scope and practice of midwives using ultrasound.
👉 What they pitched for: Expanding their lifesaving ultrasound program to two additional rural and remote health centres in Cambodia where access to early detection during pregnancy can transform pregnancy outcomes.
👉 Where they’re up to: The funds raised have enabled EveryMum to expand into a new province and train midwives across a further five health centres. This brings the total to 20 health centres across Cambodia with access to point-of-care ultrasound as part of their antenatal care.

Positive Change for Marine Life:
👉 With Sumana Deni and Lucy Jepson pitching on the night, Positive Change for Marine Life empowers communities to take action for the ocean by developing long-term initiatives that benefit the sea and the people who rely on it for survival.
👉 What they pitched for: Sustaining and expanding their Waste to Wealth (W2W) program in the Solomon Islands, ensuring women remain central to leading waste management, recycling and composting initiatives.
👉 Where they’re up to: From the Solomon Islands, Sumana shared that the funding has helped maintain local leadership and continue paid work for women involved in the Waste to Wealth program during a challenging transition period. The funding has also supported the creation of a new full-time role for Tracey within their composting project
