Testimonials

“The AIDN trip to East Africa was nothing short of game-changing for me personally. I’ve been involved with philanthropy for over 20 years, but I’ve never learned so much as I did on this trip. It was as much about our fellow travellers as it was the projects and partners that we met. The group were all so smart, passionate, empathetic and logical, that collectively they helped me change the way I think about philanthropy. Plus, it was a lot of fun too! Can’t recommend future AIDN trips highly enough.”

“I loved being able to consistently discuss international development trends, evidence and models in an applied setting, which is crucial to learning.”

“The AIDN Funder’s Trip was incredibly interesting, thought-provoking and a lot of fun. It further strengthened my belief that no one is better placed to create culturally appropriate and sustainable impact for their communities than strong local leaders, and the ones we met on the tour were some seriously inspiring humans! Travelling with like-minded folk with a wide range of experiences in the sector, offered a fabulous opportunity to reflect together and to learn from each other to improve our giving practices.”

AIDN Goes to Skoll World Forum

AIDN is curating a bespoke experience at the Skoll World Forum, the world’s leading gathering for social innovators, funders, and changemakers. Held annually at the University of Oxford, the Forum brings together a global community of leaders working to solve the world’s most pressing challenges. This funders-only Insight Tour has been designed for a small group of Australian donors seeking to deepen their global perspective and connect with pioneering organisations and philanthropists from around the world. The Skoll World Forum is an invitation-only convening, and Skoll extends this kind of partnership to only a handful of trusted organisations globally. Through our collaboration with the Skoll Foundation team, AIDN is able to offer rare and privileged access for Australian funders to join the global conversation on social innovation and philanthropy. We are taking early EOIs for Skoll 2027. Please register your interest and we'll be in touch.
