AIDN  promotes more and better giving to overseas communities using several pathways, one of which are our live events.
These events educate potential donors on the needs and issues of communities in low-income or developing countries.
At the same time, we profile people and organisations that provide support to people living in these communities.
Most importantly, AIDN provides an avenue for direct tax-deductible donations by Australian donors.

Events in partnership with The Funding Network
AIDN is proud to partner with The Funding Network to deliver an annual fundraising event, in either Melbourne or Sydney, where we showcase and raise funds for organisations working to benefit communities in developing countries.

Keep an eye on our newsletter for application dates, event dates and information.

2021  Smiling Hearts, Indigo Foundation, and Forget Me Not.
2022  The Cova Project, Classroom of Hope, and Aminatta Maternal Foundation.
2023  Bright Futures Child Aid & Development Fund Australia, Cambodian Rural Students Trust, and Grass Skirt Project.

Live Fundraising Events
AIDN partners with members in our network to host fundraising events for international NGOs who provide communities in developing countries.

June 2023: In partnership with the Igniting Change Foundation and Rotary Australia Worldwide Overseas Service shed light on the work of the Dame Graca Machel Trust to support their work with women and girls Mozambique and South Africa.
October 2023: In partnership with the C4 Consortium from Sydney University, the Daffodil Centre, and the Minderoo Foundation, to raise funds to eliminate cervical cancer in Timor Leste.

AIDN’s Better Giving Framework Webinar #2

AIDN’s Better Giving Framework Webinar #2

AIDN was recently pleased to share Draft 1 of our "Better Giving Framework" with our network. We launched The Better Giving Framework to share what we believe, and what our network has helped us to understand, are the key principles that underpin “better” giving and investing in today’s international development sector. We also launched an interactive survey so that we can keep gathering more data from our network on what "better" giving to international causes looks like.

We have now launched a three-part webinar series based on the principles and to further foster this iterative process of learning with our network.

The second webinar will be based on: Guiding Principle #4: A focus on impact

The webinar will be co-chaired by Hannah McNicol (AIDN’s Communications and Research Lead) and Mark Cubit (AIDN Co-Founder). Stay tuned for details on our panel.
