On 1st September, AIDN collaborated with the University of Melbourne to offer Master of Development Studies students a hands-on and career-focused event. The event was designed to examine the wide range of roles that exist across international development – particularly with regard to gender equality, women and girls – from funding and philanthropy, to NGOs, to research and policy, and intermediaries/networks.
👉 At the heart of the event was the question: How do these different roles in the international development sector combine to create impact and advance gender equality globally? In the context of major ODA cuts and a regression in gender equality policies globally, this question is particularly important.
